Orange Trivia: Received a $10K pledge last year as a caller for Syracuse Connects!

I hope donors know that Syracuse Connects is making a real difference. The work we do helps build relationships, bring in support and keep alumni close to the University. Every gift or call matters more than they might realize.

Describe your Syracuse experience so far.

My Syracuse experience has been unforgettable. I've grown so much personally and professionally, and I’ve met some of the best people—from close friends to inspiring professors. Between being part of a sorority, taking classes that challenge and excite me and getting involved in on-campus jobs and organizations, I’ve really found my place here!

Tell me about your experience working with Syracuse Connects.

Working at Syracuse Connects has been one of the most meaningful jobs I’ve had. As an Alumni Engagement Ambassador, I’ve gotten to connect with alumni from all over and learn about their experiences while giving them a chance to give back. It’s cool knowing I’m part of keeping that Orange network strong.

What about their mission made you want to join?

I loved the idea of staying connected to alumni and helping them stay involved with Syracuse. Knowing that I’d be playing a role in strengthening the community and helping students like me benefit from alumni support really stood out.

What is most rewarding about working there?

The most rewarding part is hearing how much alumni still care about Syracuse and want to give back. I love when I have a great call, and someone shares a memory or offers to help—it makes me feel like I’m part of something bigger than just a job.

What lessons have you learned through working there?

I’ve learned how to connect with people quickly, be professional in conversations and represent Syracuse with pride. It’s also taught me how powerful alumni engagement can be for a university community.

What does it mean to you to be Orange?

To me, being Orange means being proud of where you come from and who you’re becoming. It’s about community, resilience, spirit and knowing that no matter where life takes you, you’re always part of something bigger.
