Orange Trivia: Interned over the summer for Sead Software, a tech company.

Describe your Syracuse experience in a couple of sentences. 

My Syracuse experience has been incredibly useful in finding who I want to be in the future and preparing me for my career. Not only has it helped me academically, but also socially by meeting tons of new awesome people throughout my time here. 

 

How is Whitman preparing you for your future career? 

Whitman has prepared me by teaching me to be very independent and responsible for myself. I have learned to speak up for myself more for things I desire and try to attain what I need to succeed in my life.

 

 

How has your involvement with any organizations/extracurriculars impacted you?  

I am a part of three different organizations that are all very different and have impacted me in many ways. The Zeta Beta Tau fraternity has given me lifelong friends and memories. I am a tutor for Balancing the Books, which allows me to give back to the community and tutor young kids in financial and life skills. I am also a part of the Tamid Chapter of Syracuse, which has been an awesome experience so far. 

 

Why do you think giving is important? 

Giving is important because it grounds you in a sense. I think it teaches people to appreciate what they have and to spread it to others. Giving in my eyes does not just have to be a tangible item, it could be support, love, advice or kind words. You can give in so many ways, and I think it really helps people take a deep breath and impact people in a positive way. 

 

What does it mean to you to be Orange? 

To be Orange means to be someone who is trying to be the best version of themselves. It means that they are not afraid to take a step in improving their future. I think it means to be passionate and strong, and confident in anything that they do. To be Orange is a very unique and awesome experience that only so many people can obtain.
