Describe your Syracuse experience.
My Syracuse experience has been filled with personal growth, community and new experiences. I have been fortunate to be involved in leadership programs and student organizations that have shaped me academically and personally.
How is your school/college preparing you for your future career?
During my time at the College of Arts and Sciences and the Maxwell School, I have developed critical thinking, communication and leadership skills that will prepare me for a career as a lawyer and public servant. I have gained a solid foundation in political theory, justice systems and civic engagement through coursework, experiential learning and faculty support.
How has your involvement with SUMA impacted you?
SUMA has continued to be a reason why I am still at SU; I have been blessed with the opportunity to just keep on connecting with new people, while being able to gain more knowledge. SUMA continues to grow my personal life while also maintaining a sense of professionality.
Are you the recipient of any scholarships?
Yes, I am proud to be an Our Time Has Come Scholar, which has provided both financial support and new opportunities.
Why do you think giving is important?
Giving is important because it helps create access and provides new opportunities. It guarantees that students from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to flourish and achieve success. Contributions from donors do more than cover tuition; they invest in our development, potential and future impact on society.
What has been your favorite Syracuse experience so far?
My favorite Syracuse experience was when the SU football team beat Miami. On that day, I felt the pride of being Orange.
What does it mean to you to be Orange?
To embody Orange signifies leading with intention, supporting others on your journey and proudly and honorably representing your community. It involves celebrating traditions, pushing yourself to develop and contributing to the success of those who follow.
